Renovations’ design team will initially sit down with you to discuss your needs, your goals, and your dreams for your home. We will establish a scope of services tailored specifically for your project. We then outline a course of action and costs for your consideration and approval.

Typically, the design process comes first with larger projects. Some smaller projects may move directly to construction.

As we move forward with project design, our team will provide alternative design solutions for consideration. We pride ourselves on our ability to present solutions spanning from the conventional to the exotic. We discuss energy efficiency and alternative technologies as well.

Once a solution that is right for you is determined, we move into selecting products and finishes. You are as involved as you wish to be as our staff may give you a shopping list or accompany you to various vendor showrooms. Finish selections are necessary to establish an accurate preliminary budget figure and to complete the construction documents necessary to obtain permits and bonafide bids from our select list of subcontracting professionals.

Specific project costs are then finalized. You will see every bid and review every cost. No hidden agendas here – our process is very open. The schedule is prepared and with your approval, the transformation begins!

The construction process can be intrusive. Workers will be coming and going from your home. Each of our projects is assigned a project superintendent and they are backed by a project manager, design staff (they don’t go away!), and the Owner, Tom Reilly. You will have each of our cell phone numbers as well.

We have worked with some of our subcontractors for over 25 years and we trust each of them as though they were in our own homes. We will introduce you to each of them.

Daily construction schedule updates by our on-site superintendents, as well as timely and consistent budget information are discussed and we always ask, “How are we doing?” and “What can we do to make it better?”
